Welcome

We are happy to welcome you to our website and hope the information provided will be helpful. If you have never visited the Cathedral or participated at one of our liturgical celebrations, we invite you to visit and attend mass. The Cathedral is the spiritual home to some 900 families as well as being the Roman Catholic Cathedral for the Archdiocese of Winnipeg. Throughout its long history, the Cathedral Community has welcomed newcomers to Canada and Winnipeg and has sown the seeds of faith in the lives of thousands of Catholic Christians. As we celebrate our faith we are thankful to God for the many blessings the Lord has bestowed on us! Again, welcome and may the Lord bless you.

Bill 34 – Medical Assistance in Dying Act  - Protection for Health Professionals & Others
Bill 34 aims to protect health care providers from those seeking to impose an absolute requirement to perform, aid, or refer in the performance of MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying).  It is essential that health care providers are not forced into a position of choosing between their conscience and their career.  You may view the letter from the Archbishop in the link below:
