Knights of Columbus

Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their Community a better place, through their Faith, Family values, Youth involvement and Fellowship.

Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.

This year the order will be celebrating their 125th Anniversary.

Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Cathedral

Archbishop Alfred A. Sinnott Council # 9036 serves the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral.

  • The Council was founded in 1985 as a parish based council.
  • It was named after the late Archbishop Alfred A. Sinnott, who was the first Archbishop of Winnipeg.
  • Archbishop Sinnott Council works closely with St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral Parish providing support to its various projects. Many of the knights are involved in the ministries of the parish.
  • The council is dedicated to the principles of the Order: Charity, Unity and Fraternity, and achieves its goals through programs which emphasize community, youth, church, vocations, family and council.

Monthly Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Parish Hall. Catholic men, age 18 or older, who are interested in joining the Knights of Columbus, are invited to obtain an application form from any member of the council or contact the Grand Knight for further info.
